The name
Nausikaa
In the Odyssey, Nausicaa is the young woman who finds Odysseus washed up on the shore. Rather than flee, she has him bathed, clothed and fed. In Homer she is hospitality itself: the welcome offered to a stranger who comes from the sea.
The house carries her name because it does the same thing, in its own way. It takes in people who have come a long way, and gives them time to find their feet again.

Every piece was chosen
A long raw-wood table ringed with white Tulip chairs, worn leather sofas around the fireplace, large-format artworks, African sculptures, stone Buddhas, and a giant ficus growing in the middle of the living room.
The furniture is signed, none of it is intimidating. This is a collector's house where you drop your bags without thinking twice.
